A Timeless Abode of Lord Krishna
Located on a serene island in the Arabian Sea, about 30 kilometers from the city of Dwarka, the Beyt Dwarka Temple is one of the most sacred and historically rich places in Gujarat. It is believed to be the original residence of Lord Krishna, where he lived with his family during his reign in Dwarka.
This temple, also known as Shri Keshavraiji Temple, is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology and is mentioned in ancient scriptures including the Mahabharata, where the island is referred to as Antardvip. It is also believed to be the place where Sudama, Krishna’s childhood friend, visited him and offered a humble gift (or Beyt), giving the island its name — Beyt Dwarka.
